Guy Davis again joins Holly, Aaron, and David to discuss The Red Angel the tenth episode of the second season of Star Trek Discovery. This week there is some light news about the new Picard show, Patrick Stewart has red the script he is said to of enjoyed it and shooting for the show starts in April. In this episode we find out who the red angel is….. Or do we? Or is the switcharoo a red herring. I guess we fill find out next week? Unfortunately Guy is here for another exposition episode instead of a more plot heavy episode. In this episode section 31 comes to hang out with Discovery to try to capture the red angel. They need to set a mousetrap where Michael is the bait to catch herself maybe? What do you think Red Angels like to drink? Before we take our deep drive into the episode we have news regarding the character descriptions of the new characters appearing in the Picard show. The descriptions of the characters remind Aaron and David of the Star Trek Renegades fan film. This week’s episode splits the party with Michael going looking for spock while the crew of the Discovery deals with a temporal anomaly. This episode is a great set up for what is to come. When David is missing Aaron and Guy talk Giant cats and comics! This week Synthaholics goes into a deep dive on the Star Trek the animated series episode The Slaver Weapon. What would you put into a time capsule if you knew everything in it would be perfectly preserved? Lets hope it wouldn’t be a selfie, raw meat, and a swiss army gun. But if you did the Kzinti would probably appreciate it. This is one of two episodes where we ever see the Kzinti a bipedal cat like race who is bent on uncovering something to overthrow the federation. Once Aaron and Guy finish talking The Slaver weapon they get into a discussion about Guy’s Star Trek comic the USS Tamerlane. This leads to a segue to a Star Trek The Wrath of Khan and to Star Trek Nemesis! Anything and everything in this week’s episode of Synthaholics!

Early on we each rank the now eight Star Wars films to see where Rogue One falls on our list. We learn early on that David seems to be the one to like the film the least. From there we go on to talk low points of the film before we get into the high points. But we rabbit hole quite a bit because Guy and I can never help it!
