This week on Synthaholics we have a Star Trek listener request to talk about the Voyager episode Nightingale. This is a Harry Kim centric episode with an Icheb centric B plot. Guess which plot David like the best! This is an episode that both Aaron and David had not thought about in a while so it was nice to revisit this episode. We want to visit Voyager a bit more this year then we have in the years past. We hope you are ready for the David rants! We discus the burdens of command and how making this podcast on a weekly basis has changed our Star Trek viewing habits. We reveal that we will be at the Nickel City Con in May Aaron will be at a table and I will be floating around the con bouncing between his table The Artful Gremlins Table and The Geekiverse table. This week we welcome our good friend Pete Herr AKA the Grumpy Geek to talk about Star Trek Voyager Year of Hell! We ask Pete what he has going on lately at The Geekiverse before getting into the episode. This episode deals with Red Forman of That 70’s Show causing time travel mayhem for the crew of the voyager for a year! Aaron makes a Simpsons reference that falls the unfamiliar ears of David and Pete. We go on other rabbit holes such as Batman,  James Bond, Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Discovery! We picked this episode as it is a favorite of Pete’s and it also lets us look back at the last year when things changed for Aaron and I! Since bloodwine comes up quite a bit this episode I recommend you grab some it is an excellent beverage as it is time for your weekly shot of Star Trek!

This week Holly Michelle from the Artful Gremlins joins us to talk about the Star Trek Voyager Episode “One”! Last year we brought you Schisms as our Halloween flavored episode and to continue with that we bring you an episode that may not be scary to the view on its surface. But to Seven of Nine she was facing extreme isolation, hallucinations, and being alone with a doctor. All the while her ship is failing all around her and he has been tasked with keeping all her sleeping crew mates alive. All of this makes for one of the closest things we get in Star Trek to the feeling of horror and a Halloween type episode! This week we recorded at Holly’s house so take all the bumps and scrapes as just audio dressing for a spooky episode! Well it’s time pull out your favorite Halloween alcoholic beverage!
