Episode 178: Synthaholics Short

Aaron is on vacation and Holly is away, David is alone but the show must go on! Holly and David recorded some audio before we recorded Episode 169 of the podcast to use on a rainy day. The rainy day has come! To supplement the unused audio David turned to a Facebook live chat to get a few ideas. So before we get to the unused audio David briefly talks about two of the topics mentioned in the chat, why are there no superheroes in Star Trek and my thoughts on the Disney streaming service. Once that’s out of the way Holly asked me some questions that maybe a non trekkie might ask or someone who’s new to Star Trek might ask. Pardon the sound issues as I used my handheld recorder to record the pre and and after show and the day we recorded hope and fear we had some clipping issues so those exist on the audio because we recorded these the same day. When everyone returns we will be talking the Voyager Episode Heroes and Demons!

Episode 83: Midi-chlorian Prophylactics

This week we welcome our new friend Robbie Palmer of Artful Gremlins to join us on our new episode format. This month we start doing one non Star Trek episode a month and with Star Wars Rogue One coming in December we thought we’d start with one prequel a month then talk about Rogue One in January. We will be talking other sci-fi once a month not just Star Wars. The three of us look back to our earliest memories of Star Wars and learn new things about each other. We talk about the excitement leading up to The Phantom Menace and what it ultimately disappointed us. We then discuss the expanded theory by YouTuber Lockstin / Gnoggin about how Jar Jar may have been a Sith Lord all along.
